		<description>That is an interesting analysis.  About a year ago (27 August 2005 to be precise), I commented on our blog that there was an iTunes effect on the uptake of our own podcasts - a couple of months after the launch of the podcast version of iTunes software.

Despite the mighty clout of Apple Inc., you can never underestimate the role that other podcast directories actually have in promoting podcasts.  Often they include links to iTunes for podcast channels but don't get any credit for this!</description>
