Pod Tipping Point

New technologies reach a tipping point, where they move out of the niche market, and into the mainstream. I wonder if podcasts have reached that. Last week, we noted that Bloomberg had launched a podcast. Now, the Daily Telegraph has launched a podcast. A month ago, I suspect the average person hadn’t heard of a podcast. Now, with the word splashed across the masthead of the Telegraph, they almost certainly have. The tipping point may well have arrived – and if it hasn’t it can’t be far away.
