Thanks for this survey. Results are really unexpected when you read figures this way : 66% think that blogs don’t pose a significant threat to corporate reputations, 36% that an employee or customer could not use a blog to ignite a full-blown crisis… Now I’m scared !
One question : how did you choose agencies/countries. For example, I think France is under represented considering it is the second country of the blogosphere (and yes I’m French !).

Hello Eric, Thanks for your interesting way of looking at it. You are right, it is worrying that so many PRs, don’t see that blogs are a potential threat. I think it just shows that they haven’t really cottoned on to blogs yet. I also think that some PRS just don’t want to stress the negative side. It isn’t in their blood. They always want to plug the positive.

I agree that France was under-represented. Our survey-takers came from two sources, those whom we invited - and we don’t know many PRs in France - and those who registered on a form from the site - and we don’t have so many readers in France as in UK and USA.

If we do this again, perhaps we should have a version of the survey in French.

Thanks for your answer. A feed RSS would help to get an alert next time you post a survey but I can’t find it here - don’t exclude I may be just stupid, I’m French ;-)

Hi Eric, there is a feed link in the footer. Sorry it’s not our sidebar at the moment. I only took it out this morning as a stage of a quick redesign - but not quick enough. I’ll put it back shortly.

In the meantime, the feed is

Blogs do not pose threat but in fact, helps in collecting data and information needed to improve the business.
