Letting Go
I’ve just been watching an online video of Charlene Li of Forrester Research talking about blogs and business.
You have to register to see it, but it’s free.
She says that the scariest thing for a company as it contemplates letting its employees start to publish their thoughts is "letting go". It’s not about control. It’s about setting guidelines so that the people who work for it know what are the sorts of things they can and cannot say.
It’s a good tip. Charlene should know. She has her own blog as do many at Forrester.
