Big Blogosphere
BusinessWeek has sent its summer intern and a self-confessed former blogger to interview David Sifry, the CEO of Technorati, which aims to be the Google of blogs. There are so many blogs, that Technorati has its work cut-out keeping up with them
"The blogosphere today is about 30 times as big as it was three years ago. So just to give you some ideas on what that means: Every single day we’re seeing about 80,000 new people who are starting blogs. And we’re seeing about 900,000 new posts every single day. So that’s about 11 posts every single second", says Sifry.
Of course most of those posts are along the lines, ‘I got up late today and couldn’t find my socks,’ etc. Even so, it’s quite an awe inspiring statistic. Be in no doubt, a lot of people are interested in blogs.
